New Food Products (and Yes I'm Crazy!)

Once a food addict, always a food addict. But after having Gastric Bypass Surgery in December of 2002, and losing over 150 lbs, I had to say goodbye to many favorites. What I can indulge in today is a taste of a new food product. So perhaps now you can understand my little obsession. I don't know what's more exciting: when a food product says "LIMITED EDITION" or "NEW" or "HOLIDAY" or "SPECIAL EDITION"... I MUST HAVE IT!

But after having Gastric Bypass Surgery in December of 2002, and losing over 150 lbs, I had to say goodbye to the all-you-can-eat-buffet... the desserts... the three (and four and five) course meals... YES, IT WAS WORTH IT. What I can indulge in today is a taste of a new food product every now and then. So perhaps now you can understand my little obsession. I don't know what's more exciting: when a food product says "LIMITED EDITION" or "NEW" or "HOLIDAY EDITION" or "LIMITED TIME ONLY" or "SPECIAL EDITION" or (the best ever) -- "NEW 100 CALORIE PACKS"... I begin to salivate right there in the store. I MUST HAVE IT! So either out comes the wallet -- or out comes the camera. Where do I get my fix? Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree, Stop & Shop, Wegman's. My biggest enjoyment (after tasting, of course) is bringing the new food products into work...having my co-workers & students try them... and -- THE ULTIMATE REWARD -- Faye (the pickiest eater ever) saying, "This one's a winner!"
